In addition to being an obedience instructor, Peggy is a graduate of
UW-Madison, has degrees in psychology and social work and over 20 years experience as a licensed master’s level clinician and therapist.
Peggy began her experience in dog training in Wisconsin after adopting a loveable
but completely out of control retriever mix. She was amazed with the results and has been training her own dogs since. With dogs being one of her greatest joys, Peggy continued her training
in Montana and Tennessee. She also taught obedience classes and managed an animal shelter while in Tennessee.
Peggy was the start-up Director of The Ranch, a unique treatment center near
Nashville, TN, that integrates treatment and rehabilitation of individuals with animal-assisted therapies. The Ranch was recently featured on the Dr. Phil show as one of the premier treatment centers in the country.
Peggy’s diverse, comprehensive training and experience gives clients far more
than techniques, tricks or gimmicks to persuade their dog to behave. Rather, she combines human and dog psychology to provide owners with the knowledge and tools for a life-long relationship
with their dog based on love, respect and trust.
